Tehran Sports Film Festival to host 500-plus titles

The 12 edition of Tehran International FICTS Festival is to host some 503 movies from 48 countries.

The entries submitted to the secretariat of the 12th Tehran International Sports Film Festival are from India, Italy, France, Germany, Russia, the United States and Iran.

The Iranian sports film event accepts films with themes that promote the objectives of the Olympics and strengthen the strong spirit of Olympics and athletic mannerism.

Organized by the cultural institute of the Khayyam Art House NGO, the event is held to stage a contest between filmmakers and producers, spot young talents, and to introduce inspiring figures.

As the exclusive representative of the FICTS Sport Federation, Tehran International FICTS Festival functions in line with the country’s sporting regulations, the National Olympic and Paralympics Committee and the FICTS Federation.

The event will be held from June 23 to 27, 2019 in Tehran as well as on Qeshm Island.
